Johnson Controls: Salary Planning

The Salary Planning tool is an easy to use web-based application that allows company managers to plan raises and promotions for their employees. It provides a manager with a quick summary planning page of their employees as well as a more detailed page to plan multiple actions for individual employees. The tool retrieves employee and salary data stored in PeopleSoft, allows a manager to manipulate it and then stores it back into the PeopleSoft database. Once a manager has planned new salaries, that manager’s supervisor is notified by e-mail and can then go to the site to approve or reject the changes. After the supervisor has updated the plan, the manager is notified of the action. The tool also provides detailed Excel reports of past and future salary actions, as well as roll up reports of all employee’s under the manager.
